The lightness of this piece is designed for its owners! Saz is a stringed musical instrument (from the Persian ساز‎, meaning an instrument), it is also sometimes referred to as the "cura".

Used in Ottoman classical music, Iranian , Kurdish , Assyrian music, and in parts of Syria, Iraq and the Balkan countries, this instrument means a lot to the Armenians as well, and is often associated with the famous troubadour Sayat Nova.
